Continue flossing twice a day and pairing that with an antiseptic mouthwash, as well. In addition to at home maintenance, you need to continue visiting us at Gaston Dental Associates every six months. During these visits your dentist will conduct a thorough cleaning and examine your veneers to make sure everything is staying in place and allowing you to maintain your oral health properly. Dental veneers have a long lifespan and are very strong, but an appointment is still recommended every six months just as you would take care of your original teeth! Veneers are very durable but are not quite as strong as regular teeth. Because of this, you should avoid chewing on hard objects, such as ice.
